Rachel Little is a graduate of Stetson University with a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance. She trained under Dr. Robert Rich Emeritus. She has over 30 years teaching experience in Florida, Texas, and Tennessee. Rachel has been seen in several performances including; The Magic Flute (Pamina), Fiddler on the Roof (Yente), You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown (Lucy), Nunsense (Sister Robert Anne) and Little Women, The Musical (Marmee).  Locally, she co-directed West High School’s productions of Bye Bye Birdie, Oklahoma!, Once On This Island, and Once Upon a Mattress and Farragut High School’s production of Once On This Island. She was the Musical Director for Erin Presbyterian Creative Ministries production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, GodspellChildren of Eden, Everything I Need to Know I Learned in Kindergarten, and Honk!  and the director/music director for You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown.  Rachel has also been the musical director for Erin Presbyterian's Sonshine Company for nine years.  She was the music director for the Oak Ridge Junior Playhouse’s Alexander Who’s Not…Going to Move.  She was the Junior Playhouse Summer Academy coordinator eight years and an instructor for nine.

Laura, a Knoxville native, is thrilled to be returning to Rachel's Music & Theatre, this time as an instructor.  She began studying with Rachel while attending Farragut High School and continued her vocal education at Furman University.  At Furman, Laura was involved with the Furman Singers, where she  had the privilege of working under Keith Lockhart and the Boston Pops.  Laura also spent a semester at the Accademia dell'Arte in Arrezzzo, Italy, studying opera and traveling throughout Europe.  Laura graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in vocal music and membership in Pi Kappa Lambda music honor society.  Although Laura has an extensive background in classical music, she is passionate about all styles of music, including pop, jazz, musical theatre, and country.  Since graduation, Laura has worked with many Knoxville area community theaters and has been a guest artist and The University of Tennessee's Clarence Brown Theatre.  Laura also works in television and commercials, and has appeared in shows on Oxygen, Discovery Channel, and DIY network.  Laura previously taught at Camp Webb Adventure Camp as the summer drama director. 

         *INSTRUCTOR (Voice)

Katy Free has studied for for 10 years starting with classical singing and including musical theatre, jazz, and pop styles.  She graduated from The University of Tennessee in 2012 with a degree in Music & Culture.  She has performed in the Tennessee Theatre, Lincoln Center, and Carnegie Hall in addition to touring the region with nationally renowned jazz pianist and composer, Wendel Werner.  Today she continues to study and perform with various bands in the Knoxville area.  She is also a highly sought after solo performer. 


Wendel Werner is a composer, director, recording artist, teacher and performer, and devotes the utmost time and skill to each area.  He possesses immense talent not only as a jazz and pop music performer, but classical as well.  He began college at The University of Tennessee at Knoxville as a classical piano major.  Upon completion of his sophomore year he switched studies to Jazz Piano and later received his Bachelor's Degree in Studio Music & Jazz.  Durring his undergraduate years, Werner studied with renowned musicians such as Jerry Cocker and Donald Brown.
